A catalog of rotational and radial velocities for evolved stars
Rotational and radial velocities have been measured for about 2000evolved stars of luminosity classes IV, III, II and Ib covering thespectral region F, G and K. The survey was carried out with the CORAVELspectrometer. The precision for the radial velocities is better than0.30 km s-1, whereas for the rotational velocity measurementsthe uncertainties are typically 1.0 km s-1 for subgiants andgiants and 2.0 km s-1 for class II giants and Ib supergiants. These data will add constraints to studies of the rotational behaviourof evolved stars as well as solid informations concerning the presenceof external rotational brakes, tidal interactions in evolved binarysystems and on the link between rotation, chemical abundance and stellaractivity. In this paper we present the rotational velocity v sin i andthe mean radial velocity for the stars of luminosity classes IV, III andII. Based on observations collected at the Haute--Provence Observatory,Saint--Michel, France and at the European Southern Observatory, LaSilla, Chile. Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue.
We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

Radial-velocity measurements. V - Ground support of the HIPPARCOS satellite observation program
The paper presents data on 1070 radial velocity measurements of starsdistributed in 39 fields measuring 4 deg x 4 deg. The PPO series ofFehrenbach et al. (1987) and Duflot et al. (1990) is continued using theFehrenbach objective prism method.

UBV photometry of stars whose positions are accurately known. VI
Results are presented from UBV photometric observations of 1000 stars ofthe Bright Star Catalogue and the faint extension of the FK5.Observations were carried out between July 1987 and December 1990 withthe 40-cm Cassegrain telescope of the Kvistaberg Observatory.

Radio detection of the Be star Psi Persei
The results of a VLA survey for radio emission from a sample of Be starshaving strong excess emission in the IRAS bands are presented. Radioemission was detected from one star, Psi Persei. The radio flux density, together with nearly simultaneous ultraviolet and near-infraredobservations, argue strongly against a spherically symmetric model forthe circumstellar envelope, thus favoring equatorial disk models. Ingeneral, it is found that the spectral index of the excess emissionincreases between the radio and far-infrared, suggesting eitherincreased acceleration of the outflow at large distances from the star, partial recombination of the outer regions of the disk, or divergence ofthe equatorial disk at large radii.

Binary stars unresolved by speckle interferometry. III
The KPNO's 4-m telescope was used in 1975-1981 to determine the epochsof 1164 speckle observations for 469 unresolved, known or suspectedbinary stars. The data, presented in tabular form, encompass visualbinaries with eccentric orbits, occultation binaries, astrometricbinaries, Hyades stars of known or suspected duplicity, and many longperiod spectroscopic binaries.

Infrared spectroscopy of symbiotic stars and the nature of their cool components
Low-resolution 2-4 micron spectroscopy of a small sample of symbioticstars is presented, in an effort to determine if the giant components ofthese systems fill their Roche Lobes. A (2.35)-(2.2) color indexmeasures the strength of the CO absorption band and provides a usefuldiscriminant of luminosity class among single M-type giants whichseparates normal giants from supergiants at the same spectral type.Although interpretation of symbiotic spectra is complicated somewhat bytheir binary nature, the results suggest the late-type components inthese systems range from normal red giants to bright asymptotic giants. The possible presence of non-Roche Lobe filling, low-luminosity giantsin some symbiotic stars cannot be understood within the framework ofexisting theories for these interesting objects, and thus may provideimportant information for understanding mass transfer in binary systems.
