Multisite observations of the PMS delta Scuti star V351 Ori
We present the results of multisite observations spanning two years onthe pre-main-sequence (PMS) star V351 Ori. A total of around 180 hoursof observations over 29 nights have been collected, allowing us tomeasure five different periodicities, most likely related to the deltaScuti variability of V351 Ori. Comparison with the predictions of linearnonadiabatic radial pulsation models put stringent constraints on thestellar parameters and indicate that the distance to V351 Ori isintermediate between the lower limit measured by Hipparcos (210 pc) andthat of the Orion Nebula (450 pc). However, radial pulsation models areunable to reproduce all of the observed frequencies with a single choiceof (M*, L*, and Teff), suggesting thepresence of additional nonradial modes.Based on observations collected at the: Loiano Observatory (Italy), SanPedro Martir Observatory (México), OGS at Teide Observatory(Spain), JKT at Roque de los muchachos Observatory (Spain), BeijingAstronomical Observatory (China), SARA Observatory at Kitt Peak, whichis owned and operated by the Southeastern Association for Research inAstronomy.Table \ref{jou} in only available in electronic form athttp://www.edpsciences.org
| Walraven photometry of nearby southern OB associations
Homogeneous Walraven (VBLUW) photometry is presented for 5260 stars inthe regions of five nearby southern OB associations: Scorpio Centaurus(Sco OB2), Orion OB1, Canis Major OB1, Monoceros OB1, and Scutum OB2.Derived V and (B - V) in the Johnson system are included.
