A photometric study of wide visual double stars with significant relative proper motion Photometric observations and uvby H-beta indices of 142 wide visualdouble stars are presented. Calibrations of the indices are used toderive MK class, color excess, absolute magnitude, effectivetemperature, and distance. The results are used to check candidatesdouble stars for the Hipparcos mission for opticity.
CCD measurements of visual binaries CCD measurements of visual double stars were obtained with the ESO 1.5 mdanish reflector. All binaries observed are candidates for the HIPPARCOSInput Catalogue. More than 400 observations have been made in four clearnights. The accuracy obtained is comparable to the accuracy of thephotographic technique, but the observing and reduction times are oneorder of magnitude smaller.
Photographic measurements of double stars In this paper the relative distances and position angles of thecomponents of 170 mostly southern visual double stars are presented. Theresults are obtained using photographic plates taken with the 60 cmdouble refractor of the Bosscha Observatory, Lembang, Indonesia.
